Lyon Air Museum B17

My first photo club field trip of the year was to the Lyon Air Museum next to John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana).  I didn’t know much history on General Lyon, but I guess he made his name during WWII.  Afterwards he returned to Orange county and started collecting planes, motorcycles, and cars from that era.  Its definitely a worthwhile trip and the docents are extremely knowledgeable.  All the airplanes are in flying condition and are flown regularly.

Space Shuttle Endeavour Over Anaheim

As the radio announced that the Endeavour was heading towards Disneyland, my colleagues and I quickly stopped by my apartment to pick up the 1D3 and longest lens with Teleconverter.  We then started heading towards Disneyland, but as we go closer the freeways got more jammed.  We kept driving North of Disney and saw some random people on an overpass so we exited off there.  We proceeded to an industrial park parking lot and started walking to a clearing.  Within  5 min of asking people around us when the Endeavour was supposed to fly over, it appeared in the distance headed straight for us.  That definitely was one of the most awesome moments of my life.

Gum Wall

I was in Seattle a couple weekends ago with my buddy Yama.  He was planning on visiting his friend Emily in Vancouver, and since my parents and most of my family is still in Seattle, I decided it was a good time to tag along.  It was an awesome trip to Vancouver for eating and sightseeing…mostly eating though.  When we got back to Seattle, I showed Yama around my old stomping grounds.  Here’s a photo of the gum wall at Pike Place Market.

Baby Lia

I was in San Diego this weekend for a Cousin’s Wedding and to celebrate my birthday with friends.  In between the bouts of extreme inebriation, I managed some photos of Lia, the daughter of the friends I was staying with.
